Two challenge card

This card is for challenges & a birthday.
I've used the Friday Sketchers layout , the holiday theme for PBSC & man's birthday.
My son's friend has red hair & likes cats, so thought this was appropriate, I was also told no fancy bits like flowers or gems, so kept it simple.

I've used PB image Aloha which has been watercoloured
Basic Grey papers
MS shell border punch
Aloha sentiment stamp
I hope he liked the card as my son took to him last night.

PBSC

This is my entry for this weeks PBSC challenge.
I seem to be making heavy weather of everything so far & nothing was going on straight, all this heat must be affecting my brain, I did have another one done but used a different shape in the middle so not sure if it would match the challenge, so thought it best to do another.
I have used PB Frolic, which is watercoloured,
a mix of Basic Grey DP,
ribbon ,
a Prima flower & some small punched flowers odd bits of yellow card for matting.
I hope this fits the challenge.
Off to have a nice cuppa.

This one is for PBSC Swirls & Sketch Saturdy
I have used PB Butterfly Hedgehog kindly donated by Sam
DP Doodlebug & swirls paper from a large pack
Nestabilities circles & clear sentiment
Adhesive pearls.
A lovely simple sketch which is my favourite as I'm not too kean on fussy cards.

Lace doily & odd piece of lace

Mrs Stewart

Remembering Gordon & Mrs Stewart

Well We've had a very upsetting weekend,my son's friend was killed on Friday during a training excercise close to home. He was a veteran of Kosavo & Iraq & we're all devastated, my son's been in pieces all weekend.
Gordon was a lovely person well mannered & always had a cheeky grin which is how I will remember him..

Also his piping teacher died on Saturday, she was a grand old lady of 93 ( she taught him when she was 70 & he's been asked to do a solo at the funeral.


Chris also had to play in a competition on Saturday & collected the prize in their memory. I don't know how he kept it together, they came away with a 3rd & a 4th so not too bad as they have just moved up to grade 2.If any one wants a listen it's here...

K&CO spotty paper & green tissue effect origin unknown
MS two dot punch,
Bazill card
Stampin up puches for sentiment from a clear set.
As Bugs Bunny says
