Happy 2017 & Thank you

Hi all, many thanks for all my birthday cards what a surprise so many remembered, especially since I've been absent for so long. Things have been a manic this week, my fridge freezer gave up on Monday, so I've been trying to find a replacement, giving stuff out to neighbours & eating too much rather than binning it. Friday ,is when the new one arrives so muddling along at the moment. I will do some posts after that I'm away on Saturday for a birthday treat . Hope you all had a great holiday, Annx

This is the first one I saw covered in old fashioned sweets, it's outside an old sweet shop.theres going to be lots of them  in different guises all over the city to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Oor Wullie Annx

Double Wedding Ring Quilt

This is my new quilt my biggest project it's double sided. Top is a double wedding ring design, the back has four  applique blocks. The bottom is scalloped though it doesn't show very well this took 6 month in the making  Ann

It's Christmas A Tableaux, some cards & cake

Hi, I wish you all a Happy Christmas & a wonderful 2016. Hopefully I'll be a better blogger next year. I've posted some of the cards I made for this year. Also I've made a few tableaux for close family, I saw the idea on Pinterest & needed to make them. I already had the die & wasn't sure what to do with it, until I saw the post on Pinterest.

Garden Treats

This is for my son's friend who is leaving to live in N Wales, he is a keen gardener & works in a garden centre, so hope he likes it.

Double Bed Quilt

I haven't posted for a while, but have been busy making this quilt for my son, he chose the colours & I found the pattern in America, It's called a Labrynth design & I thought it suitable for a male.
The class I go to is having an exhibition in July & my quilt is going to be included, I must say I'm really pleased, as it's my first big project.

I have used PB stamp Birthday Girl for my son's goddaughter who will be 3 next week
I have coloured with Promarkers
Spellbinders circle dies
The balloon on the stamp is replaced by an oddment of DP cut by x- cut heart die
DP background is an oddment, border is Bazzil cardstock
Name is cut from Tattered lace alphabet
White ribbon

PBSC New Baby

This months penny Black Saturday Challenge challenge is NEW & as we had a new baby in the family, Holly on the second of January, this is for( Holly Eileen)

I have used PB image Embrace which is one of the first PB stamps I bought
I have coloured in a selection of grey promarkers, also blossom , gold & buttercup
Bazzil cardstock
DP is I think from a Fizzy Moon pad
Selection of flowers & I had to add some Holly leaves & gems for berries
Letters are from Tattered lace & image set in spellbinders circles

Here is a picture of my handmade birthday cards, sorry it's taken a while, things have been a bit hectic, plus we had a new baby in the family on the 2nd January & I was cracking on with knitting for her as she was 3 weeks early, we were all a bit surprised by her arrival, look out for  her card.

I'm ultra organised. All cards done & posted, overseas parcels done & shopping done. I've so surprised myself,just waiting for deliveries now of online orders. I will try to get found to posting some cards tomorrow .              Bye for now annx.

Quick birthday card.

I bought this stamp in London a few weeks ago a quick birthday make, I have a few male birthdays in the next few weeks, so in between christmas makes, it's an ideal solution to the dreaded MAN card.

It's from Red Rubber stamps, DP is from stash & looks suitably messy.
Border is MS birthday punch which I hope looks a bit like film strip.
(OK you say, in her dreams), but give it a bit artistic licence

As I daid, same card will be reproduces a few times.
