I've used my new stamp Garden Treats, we are keen gardeners & we are kept amused by the antics of a ginger kitten leaping about the allotment, not exactly cat lovers as we are both allergic, but we do get a lot of laughs with it, not so sure about when it gets bigger though!!

Baby Card

Hello all, I've been missing again, just not had any inspiration for card making, been reading & knitting, as well as going to the gym & it's dark when I get to sit & relax so not good for colouring.
I was asked to make a card for someone leaving to have a baby, so after lots of messing about & nothing working, I even sent for a new stamp, but in the end didn't use it.

Anyhow this is what I came up with

Flowers Frenzy PBSC

A very quick simple card, I had a manicure today & struggling to feel, pick up & take backing off dst, just about got the hang of using tweezers for this, I do love my new nails though.
I've used a stamp I had ready for last weeks challenge which didn't get done, craft room is still a no go area at the moment.

Special Edition Tilda :Blog Candy

Hello all,
I have this Special Edition Tilda Holding Hearts up for February Blog Candy.
I hope you can see her, I didn't want to use the stamp to add an image.
As some people know I support The British Heart Foundation & as February is RED HEART MONTH I thought this stamp would be appropriate.
It will be 21 years this month since I lost my husband to a heart attack, just as Tilda is taking care of the hearts she is holding, you can also help, by just putting a little heart message on the Heart Foundation shop window for £1 you can help look after hearts too.

I've tried to add mr linky but I'm not too good with gadgets so I'll just do a draw the old fashioned way........ get someone to pick a name from a hat.

This is open to UK ONLY I will do the draw on the 14th Feb, St Valentines Day the last card he ever gave me.

(believe me he was not a romantic & it was unusual to get one)

I've been taking a break from cards & my blog just now, no inspiration, prob after christmas overload, also between decorating & having a major clear out, not much time, my craftroom is still like a bomb site, piles of stuff all over the floor ready for the school.
I went to a SU workshop & made a calendar, so something a wee bit different, really enjoyed it, uploaded some pics.
I've also been knitting & enjoying it a lot, new baby due February & my niece wanted a wee bolero for her daughter, she'll be one Feb, so a pic of that too.

I will have a little blog candy in Feb too, so keep an eye out.

Almost finished just to adjust the curtains once they settle down, now I have to clearout the craft room as everything was just dumped in there, then maybe I'll have some craft time.
A wee respite I'm going to a SU workshop tomorrow so will hopefully have something to post.
I have done a bit of knitting, just for a change, for grt niece's first birthday & about to start some for new grewat niece/nephew due next month.

I was just laughing at Nics post about the cleaning frenzy.

Well ,remember the tag for the PB challenge,I stuck it to Emily's present & drove down with it yesterday.
No one at home, except a painter was posting the keys, Oh no where was I going to leave the present, seconds earlier I could've left it inside, left it tied to the back door in the end.
Any how we got chatting & he'd just done Emily's bedroom & she was to have new furniture as well for her birthday.
Well I thought isn't that a good idea,(I've just had a birthday) so the painter ended up following me home to measure the bedroom & he's coming to paint on Monday.
Guess what I'll be doing, having a good clear out & moving furniture... also my craft room is the boxroom off my bedroom so it will be access denied.
I might manage something at the weekend, if I have everything done.

Well I just finished my last card for my nephew's wife, it was all boxed & ready to go, we had a wee chat & a see you on the day, off he went..........No Picture, I was just so relieved the last one was off in time, completely forgot to get the camera out, Ah well no worries.

Now better get some tidying up done, house badly needs a once over, some pressies still to wrap & a few snowman soups to put together along with some chocolate wallets.
All the M&S shopping done plastics gone into meltdown & I'm not entering another one till I have to.
I don't have to think about cooking till Boxing Day as going to nephews for christmas, he does all the cooking & the men do all the clearing up, so a nice relaxing day, we just take things as they come & meal is well spread out.

I was naughty & just bought this stamp after seeing it on Joanna Sheen's websight, ( so near to christmas too)I just loved it & I'm not really a Santa fan, much prefer snowmen.

All White

This challenge is for all white except skin & hair, I quite like the effect but it's difficult to match whites in artificial light so hope it looks ok in daylight.
This is my first Tilda card for a while & I think I've had this a year & just inked it up, I buy stuff & then forget about it, let's call them senior moments, or in reality too many stamps!.

This is my entry to LOTV challenge, Anything Goes, This is my first effort with Copics, I only have a few, mostly skin & hair colours & one or two each of primary colours.

This is for Ellie who is four & is a fanatic Celtic fan ( not popular here we're DUFC fans) but we'd keep her happy, so James is coloured accordingly & all embellishments except Flower soft & ribbon are paper & card to keep it child friendly.

Hi all, another christmas card today, been at home all day not feeling too good, my cold's turned into an infection, so been sitting around a lot, if there had been more light I would have done lot's of colouring, but not a glimpse of sun today dark & gloomy, looks like winters actually here after all the nice mild weather.

This is certainly green & we have trees so should fit the challenge OK, it's definately a bit different for me.
I was looking for some suitable DP when I found this at the bottom of the box, must have been around for at least 3 years, it's amazing what we unearth when digging deep.

This is my third attempt at this challenge, the others ended up in the bin, not making a good job of this image, way out of my comfort zone & she doesn't fit neatly into any dies, her feet & her heels have been chopped in earlier attemps, any ideas on how best to cut her out would be very welcome.

Hi All,you'll need your sunglasses on for this one, it's a bit Sparkly, photo turned out better than I thought, but you need to get the right angle to see it properly.
This for two challenges, Sketch Saturday (sketch) & Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is Snowflakes Silver/White, it's amazing what you can get done in the wee small hours, for some reason I hardly slept & yet was shattered when I went to bed, it always seems the more I do the less I sleep. I'm off to Zumba as soon as I've added this card.

Update on my Tinkerbell

If anyone remembers, three weeks ago I broke my crystal Tinkerbell, a birthday gift from my nephews 4 years ago, well I was shocked to discover it's now valued at £600 OMG I it was in two piecs,
Fortunately it was a clean split at the wings, well I took advice from my blog buddy Sam & took it back to the shop, well they checked it over & there was no other damage & said it would be sent back to the manufacturer & would cost £20 & take around 6weeks.

Well I had a call Saturday, she was back as new & NO CHARGE, isn't that fantastic, so as I'd saved £95 on insurance excess I just had to treat myself so bought a cute little Kris bear with a halloween lantern.
You can't beat service like that, British firms should take note.

Baby's First Birthday

Hi All, it's been a horrid week for me, doing stupid things I had my flu jag & hands been really shaky which hasn't helped,I decided to get some cleaning done & while dusting caught my crystal Tinkerbell with the duster & broke it, this was a special birthday gift from my nephews & was very expensive, so really upset (there's a morale there, Don't DO Housework), then I picked up a glass dish just out of the oven & it stuck to my fingers , I'd just treated myself to a manicure as gardening is almost done for the season & was more concerned about chipping my nails so my own fault for trying to be glamorous for a change, I spend most of my time either in gym or gardening wear.

Enough of the feeling sorry for me I managed to get this done with very tender fingers using Sketch Saturday sketch & Penny Black challenge of Age is Just a Number in honor of Nat's 21st.

First card this week, thanks to a few days of fair weather almost done with the outside painting, been at it since Saturday & just a wee bit of touching up to do, so had a very productive week.

I've used a new stamp Christmas Tree Ted which I really enjoyed colouring with promarkers, cuttlebug embossing folders & Spellbinders snowflake& labels dies. red ribbon to match his scarf, tree charm & a wee bit of bling.

Well nothing changes, here I am again only one card this week & if I do one it has to be for the Penny Black challenge, again scraping in at the last minute.
I was supposed to be painting outside today, but raining so change of plan.just for a change decided to stay in & put my feet up, no chance, but managed to put something together for a quick card, well I changed direction with it so many times & cut the wrong size of DP i nearly put it in the bin, but here is a saved version although some of the colour isn't showing too well.

I've been having a week off as I've been rushing around for weeks & really need to take a break, mind you that's consisted of tidying the garden, zumba, yoga & pilates, I need to spend tomorrow catching up with housework & Sunday going to the flower show to see Gino cooking ( the one from Let's do Lunch), should be fun & today I'm off to Perth to check out the new craft shop.

A very quick last minute card for this challenge, I had a bit of a disaster earlier & forgot to recharge batteries for camera.
I got back from Tesco dripping wet & dropped 4pints of milk which exploded all over the kitchen floor, you wouldn't believe how far it spashed, even the window got it & it's at the other end of the kitchen, hopefully I've got it all!

CAS Acetate Card

Evening all, have you survived the weather? I thought I might see the Ark passing by today! so wasn't going anywhere too soon this morning so managed to have a lie in, most unusual for me, son was going off to a piping competition outside Stirling, after hanging about a bit hoping it was cancelled he set off, he came back an hour ago & there's lots of sopping wet kit around the house, pipes dismantled drying off , kilt will prob dry out sometime next week ready for Glasgow on Saturday.
Anyhow as I had the afternoon stuck here thought I'd give this a go in between reading my book.
This is something different for me, I've only ever made one other acetate card & I did get in a bit of a muddle with it, some backgrounds came out a bit harsh so went with a softer look.
Apologies for the pic, it was difficult to show the acetate front without looking like the tree was falling off the page, honest it's straight will try to add another pic when batteries charged.

I thought I'd add this piccy of a rose before it dies off, it's the first flower from a cutting I took from a bush belonging to an old neighbour who died two years ago, it was always full of magnificent blooms & the new people were going to dig it up. i didn't think anything would come of it, especially after last winter, I wish I'd taken the picture earlier as the colour wasn't so faded, hopefully I'll get another.

The weathers been atrocious here, but a wee bit of sunshine today so fingers crossed, also can't get any crafting done as electrian been working during the day & I just can't settle when there's workmen around & at the moment I don't have any lights & can hardly see what I'm typing, hope things get back to normal soon.

Hello all, at last we have sunshine, what a mirerable wet few days we've had here, had a busy few days making more jam & clearing out the endless weeds, just tried a new jam this morning, Rhubarb, Lemon & Lavendar, wasn't sure, but had all the ingredients & it's not too bad at all, does leave a hint of lavendar aftertaste, but not unpleasant, so bang goes the diet again.

Hi again, weathers been a bit more behaved today, just one shower, we've had lots of flooding here so a good thing the sun came out for a while & I live on top of a hill, wish I was wherever this cool cat is getting all that sunshine, we do have a beach a couple of miles away, but that could be flooded too LOL.
Still busy with the jam, moving on to raspberry now, my son just polished off half a jar while it's still warm.

Hello all, hope you;ve survived the mega downpours & thunder storms, I think we surpassed the total rainfall for the whole month in one day , it's gone quiet for the moment but more coming, ah well I suppose we should expect it we had 2 whole really hot days.

This is my first time back for a whole week, been busy making strawberry jam, we've had a mega crop this year.

I managed a bit of time today to make a card as it's been so wet, the challenge is shabby chic, which I'm not too sure about as I've not tried that before, I used aged looking DP & distressed the edges a bit, but not too good at that either, can't quite get the concept of destroying nice new papers, her's my effort with my nice new stamp.

I've made a very simple stepper type card, no measuring needed or any fiddly bits to cut.

This is my first card for a while for the Magnolia challenge, really since it changed to the Hanglar & Magnolia combination, I found this image, actually I won a few of them a while ago & had never used them, this one is really sweet, don't know what she's called, but I think she's my favourite.

I've tried to leave several comments, but they're just not working & I'm anonymous too, so sorry, I think Mr Blogger is playing up again.

are you all safe & sound after all the storms? at the moment we have half a tree in the garden & shed is blown over, all my poor veggie plants are in bits, but at least nothing that can't be sorted.
My friends managed a full colour pic in the paper, tree landed right across her car (her tree), there's hardly anyone not been affected, tree down all over the place, one even crushed two cars, chimney pots & other debris lying all over the place, strangely though (fingers crossed) our greenhouse is ok & we're ight on top of a hill wierd, we also have huge scottish pines at the back of the house & really scary seeing them swaying about, didn't get much sleep last night worried they'd come through the house.
everything seems to be a wee bit calmer so off for an early night

CAS PBSC

This is a very quick card, my second for this challenge. It's been a bit of a mental week & so glad it's Friday.
I got my biopsy result & thankfully all is well, just have to have a scan to see what's going on, but that's not till July as consultant is on holiday, so a wee celebration is in order, going to a craft demo tomorrow, so will need to have a wee treat, Chris away to Dumbarton for another piping competition, so have another day to myself, Oh nearly forgot got my Take That tickets too.

Well on to the card, not a lot to say, I've used a stickeroo which I've had around for ages, used a large scalloped oval for masking with TH olive ink, the only green I have, but it matches the flower quite well,

Hoorray not rushing at the last minute as I used the same stamp as last week also had the day to myself as pipe band competitions started yesterday & son away to Dumbar for the day, they got a second & a fourth overall, but 2 firsts in piping.
I must admit I really love these simple cards, this is for Penny Black Saturday Challenge. It did look a bit stark & was lying awake last night thought about folding back the edge & adding the ribbon, I think it just finishes it off

Jenna's 18th

This card is for my gt niece who is 18 on Saturday, she just passed her test too.
I love this little car & when my lottery comes up I'm having one just like it, although the reg number will be considerably larger, ah well I can dream.

I'm as usual very last minute, not been a nice week, hospital on Tues for my lump & back next Tues, then Wednesday raging toothache, which resulted in root treatment. I can laugh about it now, but it was like having electric shock treatment, dentist didn't give me enough to numb the pain & I was jerking every limb & just about floored him, it was horrendous, still pain gone & wait till I see him next week, he'd better be nice to me.
i was feeling so poorly I went & treated myself to a Tesco sewing machine, but not been brave enough to try it yet.

What a busy day And mamaged a card. I've done two classes, yoga & pilates, been over to allotment for a wee while, although it's a bit chilly today, it feel fantastic to have a bit of energy at last.
I also managed this card, with most of the influence being from Kath's class on Saturday, I also managed to purchase the script stamp we used, just a bit nervous of what counts as embellishments, do I have 3, 4 or 7, well I'm sure someone will put me right, just hope it's the all important odd number.

First try at CAS Card

This is my first attempt, at one of these CAS cards, which we were making at Saturday's class & second entry in the challenge, using Black/ White plus Green.
This is my second entry in Penny Black at Allsorts challenge.
I've used
PB image Bucket of Frogs
image is coloured with promarkers, I think I used every shade of green I have.
Grass, Meadow,Pear, Marsh, Lime, Soft Lime, Khaki & Mint.
Background is TH crushed olive
Green gems
Stamped background stamp is Inkadinkado ( which I've dusted off, been lying around for years) using TH shabby shutters.
Sentiment Stampendous stamped in black
Image & border, edged with black,
I did have a button on the bottom left, but wasn't sure if it was too much, just not confident enough of overdoing it, so decided less is more.

Good evening all on this lovely summer like evening, what a hot day it's been here.
I've had a terrific weekend, spent yesterday in Aberdeen at a craft class with Kath from the PB DT & Janice amongst some other crafty ladies.
Today I've spent at the allotment & got some veggies & salads planted & did a lot of digging, it felt just like summer & over 90 in th greenhouse, please let this be the start of a nice hot summer, I think we deserve one.

This little image is appropriate as it's the start of the gardening season, which I love more than anything (apart from my son) although he love it too, been all day painting the shed in between showers which has been a nuisance, anyhow all done now,

PBSC Recycling

I've not been around too much, I've a really nasty throat which was put down to a virus & it was coming & going but never really went away, well after seven weeks struggling with it the doctor thinks I might have a cyst on my thyroid. I've had lots of blood tests today & am having about 5different things hopefully eliminated, plus having to have a scan on my throat, just a wee bit nervous , but also a bit relieved something is being done.
Anyhow on to more impotant things, I've manged to cobble together this card from half done projects, the button covers one abandoned project where the bird was upsidedown.

This Little Piggy

I got this in a sale with another piggy, I'm sure, but just can't find it. I have way too many stamps, but just can't part with any.
I have had a major clear out, but more must go, the brownies I think have enough stash to see them through to the guides!

PBSC Green

This is for PBSC which is to use green, I've maybe overdone it a little.
Sorry about the flash, but this is the best of about 12 pics, the flash just keeps picking up the same part & it's not really shiny, tried everything, but just not working.

I've used stickeroos which I've never used before
The paper was discovered while having a clearout & thought it would suit the frogs, as was the embossed acetate which someone gave me ages ago & I never found a use for, the bottom curly bit was from a sizzix die, actually the card just fell together from bits which were destined for the bin during a clearout, so not surprising something went wrong, ie the photo.

Blueberry Muffin

I love blueberries in any form, especially as they come, this is my first try with the muffin stamp, it's for granny's birthday, she'll be 3 next week & loves cooking & purple, I was going to do another easel card, but decided to keep it simple, just in case it got displayed sideways or upside down, she doesn't do new fangled. just plain & simple.

PBSC More than One Fold

I've not been around much, had a really bad throat, although I've been making cards as this is my busy time for family birthdays, they've really just been made & posted, this is second to last for a few weeks, my niece's birthday on Sunday.

This is my first attempt at this style I think it's called a twisted easel, I did have one or two problems espesially with DST got a bit carried away with it & forgot half of the back isn't taped so as I did't have any more of this blue card, I added some contrast to the back & taped it again, the right way

Chris' birthday card

At last got round to posting this,it was supposed to go into a challenge, but missed it.
I got a bargain of these Flippin stamps about a year ago & never used them, as my son loves to garde & has just got back from a lads weekend in London, it seemed appropriate, not keen on the pint though, as I'm not a fan of alcohol.
These were a dream to stamp, colour & cut out, so credit where it's due

My son's birthday today

This is the first time ever I've not seen him on his birthday & he's 36 today, can't believe it.
I'm thinking as he can't see it I might just put a baby pic up, so off to find something cute.
This was taken at 18months, he always love having his photo taken, not now though, have to pin him down or he makes funny faces. There's a later one on my sidebar.

New Baby Card

What a quandry with this one, I inked up my new Magnolia baby & then thought maybe not a good idea as she has angel wings & new baby early, the other was mother & baby WOJ & she can't carry her around yet, if your following my train of thought , just a wee bit superstitious, so went for my old faithfull PB & kept it simple.

This may have to be my son's birthday card, as I'm all out of inspiration at the moment.
He does have two allotments ( which we share) so the gardening theme is appropriate.
He's away tomorrow till Monday so I may come up with something else. Birthday Saturday so he won't open it anyway till he gets back.
He's off to London it's his cousins birthday today & a friends tomorrow so they're having a lads weekend.
It's also my SIL's today so Happy Birthday if you see this, as I said before our family seems to prefer the last week in February to be born.
The new wee one seems to be doing ok at the moment.

Baby Arrived Early

My niece had her baby at 1. 19 am, 3lbs 12 oz, Ruby Angela, she just missed my late mothers birthday, she has arrived a few weeks early but seems to be doing well.
I'll add the photo as soon as I figure out how to get it off my phone.
I've been knitting for her but will need to go find a prem baby pattern as it's going to be a while before the other things fit

Another Need it for Tomorrow card

My son's boss asked for an anniversary card today, I never do orders as it stresses me out, I usually just give them away, but on a mission to raise £50 for BHF & have cleared out my box & in one day got £41.50, so really pleased.. see my blog candy for reason.
Anyhow most of them were bought by ladies in my son's office so couldn't really say no, I hope it's OK for her, it's for a diamond wedding. I had to do it today as he's off on holiday on Thursday & away for his birthday on Saturday ( first time ever I'll not see him on his birthday) & I was going to do his birthday card today.
It's looking like I'll need to do a baby card tomorrow, my niece went into labour today 6weeks early, this was my mum's birthday too, so far no news.
February is a very popular month in our family & 5 all in the same week.

Oh nearly forgot I was posting a card,
